What Are The Down Syndrome Symptoms?
Down syndrome is a disease that affects the newborn babies. Due to Down syndrome then children cannot able to mature like that of the normal children. The doctors are saying that the children who born by late pregnancies are suppose to have the Down syndrome than the normal children. It is chromosomal disorder and caused due to the existence of 21 st chromosome in the body.
The symptoms of the Down syndrome among the children are not same. The symptoms keep on changing from one child to another. In some children, the symptoms are very prominent but in another category, the symptoms are not so bright to understand. The physical and mental growths of the children who are suffering from Down syndrome are quite different from the normal children.
Basic symptoms of Down syndrome are given below:
1. The children who are suffering from this disease often have large facial, short neck, white spots or Brushfield spots in the iris,
2. Small mouth with overhanging tongue
3. The legs and hands are quite short than the normal children. Their normal growth gets retarded due to the chromosomal disorder. ...

4. The muscles in the body do not able to mature.
5. The children who have down syndrome often take time to learn the lessons. They started to show learning disability.
6. The children like to have respiratory problems and heart disease and it becomes very much crucial for them to survive with healthy body.
7. Atrioventricular septal defect is quite common in the children with down syndrome disorder.
8. Different types of skin infection, poor eyesight, thyroid, obesity are some more symptoms that will appear to the children who have down syndrome.
9. The children or babies who are suffering from down syndrome will not cry like the normal children.
10.The heart problems will occur in the babies just after the birth or sometimes later in future.
11.They will show different types of thyroid problems and they are quite different from the others.
12.The children may also have hearing problems. Due to the chromosomal disorders, they may have problem of hearing.
These are the basic and common symptoms of the down syndrome disorder among the new born and children. The parents must take care of the children who have this kind of problems in the body. The children must be kept under strict supervision of the doctors. The parents must be alert whenever they see any kind of abnormalities in the children. They need special treatments and lots of care and affection. These kinds of children need extra care as they prone to other diseases like congenital heart disease and it will become very severe for the children to have a happy and healthy life unlike the other children.
