What Does A Mother Do? Everything For Nothing!

A mother has many jobs and all of them are unpaid. Imagine if the job were actually paid for by the government, I wonder how much they would earn. In this article I will look at all of the jobs they do and add up the salary for each.
First off a mother had to cook to keep her brood alive. She will have to cook on average 7 hours a week which works out at 364 hours a year. A chef with between 1-4 years experience earns on average £9.00 an hour so that works out at £3,276.00.
Kids make a mess and there is only one person who cleans up after them, the mum! If a mother cleans up on average 3 hours a day that is 1092 hours a year. So if the average cleaner earns £7.00 an hour that means the amount is £7,600.00.
Mums are unpaid nurses and on average spend about 30 hours a year (minimum) putting plasters on cuts, treating colds and waiting in Accident and Emergencies departments in hospitals. Putting all the emotional stress aside, this works at a cost of £9.20 an hour so £276.00 for the year.
Taxing your children about getting them to school, sports clubs, sleepovers takes about ...
... 6 hours a week which over the year is 312 hours. On average an hour's taxi journey will cost about £40. So taking that into consideration the cost for taxing your kids around a year is £12,480.00. That might sound like too much but when you think about the price of cars, insurance and petrol that figure is probably well under.
Childminding takes up most of a mother's time, this is almost impossible to work out as once you're a mum you can't go out when you want, you are stuck home all day and night. Around 18 hours a day are spent child minding, this is if your kids are at school from 9 to 3pm. So if a child minders were to charge £5 a hour that would be £32,760 for the year.
Washing clothes is another job mothers do which is very time consuming. I am guessing mothers spend around 2 hours a week putting clothes in and out of a washing machine then another 3 hours ironing and putting away. This is 260 hours which at £6 an hour works out at £1,560 for the year.
That all totals up to just over £400,000 a year, which is a huge amount of money. I have not mentioned other jobs that mothers do such as planning parties, counselling, public relations, teaching social skills and manners... I could go on.
So the moral of this story is, your mums do a blooming lot all for nothing! They are unpaid dogsbodies and in this day and age expected to go out and have a career as well as all the jobs I have mentioned above. So the next time you here about a single mum staying home looking after her kids, don't you dare call her a benefit scrounger. She is bringing up the next tax payers and all for nothing. She probably didn't want to do it alone but circumstances made it happen that way. Once her kids are older she can think about going out to work but only if she wants too. Why should mothers be made to do more jobs than the ones listed above? Don't you think they do enough?
If you have a mum and want to show you your appreciation why not treat her some time. There is mother's day coming up but what about every other single day that she works and it goes un-noticed? Say thanks to your mum and give her a few days off in the year, not just her birthday and mother's day.
