Innovation and invention both play key roles in today’s marketing world. Be it an advertising idea, be it a tool, be it a technique- innovation is always a key ingredient to launch a unique promotion campaign. The best innovation speaks volume about the quality of the brand, its features or benefits. As a result of which every ad message needs to be a work of innovation. Be it the cute television commercial of Surf Excel with its catchy punch line ‘daag atche hein’, or the Mentos’ ad with a humorous punch line ‘ Dimaag Ki Bati Jala De’ , any advertising campaign of a brand influences our day to day lives.
Young girls suddenly become conscious of their figures after watching some famous celebrities endorsing for an ad that provides the message ‘to stay slim & trim’. The Dominos’ commercial suddenly make foodies aware that ‘roti sabji’ is old fashioned and boring, it’s time for something contemporary, it’s time for pizza. Be it a food item or a cosmetic item, advertising is influencing our lives in an avid manner. Forget youngsters, even the age-olds are influenced by advertising. Growing old is no more boring for them. The catchy tagline ‘Sar Uthake Jeewo’ of HDFC retirement plan is for sure a great source of inspiration for the senior citizens in the country. Live with pride, live with honour- is the kind of appeal the ad provides to the particular target group.
A world without advertising would have been pretty boring and mundane. Through various channels and in various ways, advertising has influenced our lifestyles, habits and even cultural perceptions from time to time. Television advertising, print advertising, outdoor advertising and any form of advertising informs, educates and simultaneously influences us to think, act or support a particular idea, cause, belief or action related with a particular brand. It’s for sure an ad-mad-world we are living in cheers!
