7 Critical Elements Of Starting Spirit-anointed Ministries

People and churches are continually starting up new ministries. This is usually a good thing, but the way you start a ministry and even the focus of the ministry you choose to start in general can greatly determine whether the ministry is reasonably effective, is a magnificent success, or is a complete flop.

If a church is growing, indeed is must continue to listen to the Spirit of God to guide them into growing existing ministries and forging new ministries, but many churches end up simply starting new ministries because they think they “need to start a new ministry” or because someone had an idea. Similarly, individuals often start ministries because they saw a need or just feel like they need to be doing something. To compound the trouble, many ministries are thrown together haphazardly and are based on man’s reason instead of the Spirit’s leading.

... a great Spirit-anointed ministry can be formed which has wide-ranging and long-lasting effects on people’s lives and brings glory to God.

The following are seven key activities that are instrumental in birthing a Spirit Anointed Ministry:

1. Be led by God into the area

Don’t just start a ministry for the sake of starting a ministry or even just because you see a need. There are lots of needs out there and you can’t possibly minister to all them. Wait on the Lord. Your Spirit will have a passion to seek out the area. Often, it will be the area you are most frustrated with.

2. Spend a year or more focused on the area

Don’t feel like the ministry needs to be started as quickly as possible. Prayerfully meditate on all Scriptures which relate to the area. Prayerfully meditate on the works of proven leaders in the area. Through revelation, God will show you distinctions you have not seen before.

3. The anointed insights you receive and share will be focused around the finished work of Jesus Christ

All revival is Christalogical in focus. You will lift up Christ in what you present.

4. You will build faith

God will have birthed a special faith in your heart for this area. When you speak, this faith will pour out to others, who will catch it.

5. You will undermine the cultural doubts

As you spent time prayerfully meditating on the Scriptures and the works of proven leaders, and received revelation from God, you will have battled through your own doubts to victory. Thus you will be able to lead others to victory over their doubts by sharing the victory God has given to you.

6. You will discern a practical, workable way to lead people step by step into this supernatural anointing

It will be God given. It will be simple, easy and workable with the masses.

7. God will lift the message and you up into an international ministry

People will call upon you once they have discovered the anointing that resides within you in this area. Your life’s commission from God will likely be to carry this anointing to the world.

If you are looking to start a ministry or the thought has crossed your mind. Take some time to start seeking the Holy Spirit about what ministry He would lead you into. Then work your way through these seven actions and begin serving God through His Spirit-Anointed ministry.
