The launch of the Nokia N8 and the huge success that it has met with seems to be not enough Nokia as they are planning to launch a new phone that will be even more feature rich. Apart from toppling the Nokia N8 at the top of the Nokia stable, this new Nokia N950 seven is expected to be acting as a replacement model for the Nokia N900. This phone will also be replacing the rumoured Nokia N9, which was expected to be debuting at the Mobile World Congress, which recently took place at Barcelona. Even though there was no announcement of the launch of the Nokia N950, it is widely expected that this phone will be to making into the Nokia stables.
The Nokia N950 is a phone that will be having the features from the Nokia N9 rumours quite unchanged. It remains to be seen if there will be any actual changes in the final product. This is because that does not seem to be any one the prototype specifications that have been released. According to these specifications, the Nokia N950 will be coming with a screen that is reported to be 4 inches in size. The internal specifications of the screen have not been revealed by Nokia, although it can be expected that this phone will be having the usual bells and whistles when compared with the other phones in the segment. For a phone in this segment, the connectivity options have to be the best in the line-up.
It certainly seems to be the case with the Nokia N950, which will be having a range of connectivity options. They will be including the likes of the Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. However, it remains to be seen if Nokia will be going for the more exotic connectivity options like the Wi-Fi Direct and the DLNA option. The best part, however, has to be the 768 MB of RAM and 1.2 GHz processor. Even though the Nokia N950's processor is not expected to be a dual core unit, it is still expected to be much faster than the rest of the high-end smartphones today. This may be slightly due to the efficiency at which it works upon, not to mention the efficiency of the other aspects of the phone as well. The Nokia N950 will be coming with a 12 megapixel camera that is going to be the same as in the Nokia N8, which makes the Nokia N950 one of the best camera phones available today.
It is also the second Nokia phones to be coming with the MeeGo operating system. This is seen as the future of Nokia and the Nokia N950 builds upon it. The Nokia N950 is all set to be launched, albeit without the launch date as of yet, but one expects it to be done very shortly.
