Southeast Dental of Manhattan is located on the 69th floor of the historic Chrysler Building in midtown Manhattan. Their exclusive dental suite is accessible through two private elevators that open to a state of the art reception area surrounded by breathtaking views of the glittering necklace of the Manhattan Skyline.

At Southeast Dental patients receive outstanding dental care and exceptional service. From the relaxing atmosphere in their reception area to the adoption of technologies in our operatories, Southeast Dental is the place where comfort takes center stage.

Through comprehensive individualized treatment plans, patients’ needs are recognized and fulfilled. From various basic dental treatments, gum treatments, wisdom teeth treatments, emergency treatments, restorative treatments including teeth whitening and veneers, Invisalign, braces, dentures, extractions, implants, laser treatments, crowns, bridges, fillings, Southeast Dental has it all.

At the end of each month, their clinical dental staff selects three of the most noteworthy events in recent dental research and studies and presents the ...
... selected topics to their patients for review and awareness, with an emphasis on particular patients’ dental conditions and diagnosis. During the month of January, Dr. Stacy Makhnevich has reviewed dozens of cases and technology advances to present the selected topics of specific interest to the patients of Southeast Dental. Dr. Makhnevich has concentrated on the most recent studies showing caries (cavities) and periodontitis (gums inflammation) found together in the same patients: both are bacterial in nature, impacted by the accumulation of bacterial biofilm; suspecting that salivary pH might contribute to disease selection, with an acid pH leading to more caries and a basic pH contributing to calculus formation and periodontitis, the study compared the incidence of both caries and periodontal disease in a group of 5,000 adults older than age 30 who were part of a national health survey. Dr Makhnevich has summarized the reports to conclude that more severe periodontal disease and caries tend to be found in the same patients. As a clinical Implication, the specific change in treatment planning was made at Southeast Dental in order to observe their patients to see how often they present with both caries and periodontal disease as well as to keep them on the cutting edge of dental science.

Perhaps the most important benefit of the dental practice and clinical staff is their ability to provide patients with the care and information they need to maintain their dental health. Their exceptional service along with the most highly trained and knowledgeable dental personnel instills a desire for achieving and maintaining optimum oral health, making each of their patients an ambassador for continued growth and success.
