Did you ever notice the behavior and type of the personal lubricant that you use, before an intercourse? If no, then it could have danger to you as well as your partner's health. You must be cautious about the substance you used than thinking about the pleasure that it can provide you.

Each wet lubricants are of each behavior. Even though they are providing elasticity, the effects that it produces afterwards are totally different. The water based lubricants acts friendly to the vagina, since it contains glycerin. The glycerin will remove the yeast deposit on the opening of the vagina. There are some other types of lubricants that are acting either as sperm friendly or as spermicidal. The Nonoxynol-9 present in the lubricant makes it spermicidal. But it protects the body in another way. It will reduce the risks of getting infected as they are capable of fighting against diseases like HIV AIDS. The wet lubes based on Nonoxynol-9 were later withdrawn despite its efficiency to fight against disease. The property of acting as a contraceptive forced to take it back.

There are some other lubricants that are targeting ...
... the couples, who are willing to conceive. They are sperm friendly and will help in the mobility of the movement of sperm. These wet lubes are having an optimum pH and electrolyte, which is suitable for the free flow of sperm. They are also in a particular osmolality range. Such lubricants are having calcium and magnesium ions that are having an optimal pH level, that will acts as a substitute for the natural fertile fluids at the cervices and the problem of dryness will alleviated. So the couples can conceive babies, just naturally.

The negative effect of the other lubricants is that they are stickier which results in the blockade in the path through which the sperm is to be travelled. The fertilization occurs only if adequate numbers of healthy sperms are allowed to enter the cervical mucus and then proceeds to the fallopian tubes. The presence of lubricants may block this process and thus it may result in the damage of the sperm cells. The concentration of the lubricants also plays an important role in the mobility of the sperm apart from whether the lubricant is spermicidal or sperm friendly.
