Tourism is a major business but business tourism has a healthy and positive effect on an economy. Perhaps you are aware that business tourism could provide employment to people who could directly serve the companies coming to attend conferences and the high quality of personal service creates more job vacancy. It is true that business tourism neither involves traveling for pleasure and fun nor can you go for sight-seeing on such visits to a place. But it is possible that you might return with your family on a vacation to those destinations that you have enjoyed visiting on a business trip.

Corporate houses traveling for the purpose of conferences and meetings, exhibitions and trade fairs, corporate events or outdoor events usually choose those places which have advanced infrastructural facilities. So it would be sensible if the government investments are properly used to build proper infrastructure to attract business houses and promote business tourism. And promotion of business tourism can increase the value of a place and make that place more attractive.

Also, these days the time-pressed corporates like to mix business with leisure and some even bring their families on business trips. However, you must consider the amenities the hotel offers when deciding whether to bring family or friends.

Finally, perhaps it can come to your mind that tourism has always been in existence. The international and national tourists always visit attractive places and make business of those places profitable but that happens seasonally. However business tourism can take place any time of the year.
