A wrong choice of tool or media vehicle can be a major reason for the failure of the campaign.
Secondly, having a deep understanding of the current market scenario is important before implementing a particular advertising campaign. For this you should conduct various surveys about consumer's behaviour, tastes, likes etc. An ad campaign should tune along with the present trend in the market so that the target group finds it relevant with their choice, taste or lifestyle.
Advertising and brand will contemporarily exist in the market. The tools and techniques of advertising may change but the objective of advertising will remain the same i.e. to inform, instruct or educate the target group about a brand, service, idea or business. To sum up, advertising is important for a brand to make its entry in the target market or to create a blare of its existence in the same market.
