The types of Police Lights used in Emergency Vehicles today are varied and available to suit any budget and vehicle. These lights can be mounted or drilled in place securely. Though Emergency Vehicles and First Responders have been using Beacon Strobe Lights and flash lights, newer advances in technology have resulted in skyrocketing value-additions in the form of Police Lights. LED lights have popularly replaced the xenon flash bulbs and halogen lights, as cost effective items that work brilliantly to help emergency teams work to the best of their ability. First Responders and other emergency teams also benefit with the use of these Police Lights.

Police Lights include Dash Lights which are fitted inside the vehicle and comes with a control box, which can be fitted into the connection available for the lighter plug. These Dash Lights come in LED Lightbars, which are set in a tiered arrangement, depending on the number of bulbs used and the type of flash patterns required. A Pattern switch provided enables the driver to change the flash patterns and colour, while controlling the frequency. ...
... Suction caps are provided with the modules to help fit them on the dash, or the roof of the car interior. The Police Lights consist of alley lights and takedown lights, which can be removed individually from the unit.

Visor Lights, Grill Lights, Stealth Lights and Wigwag Lights are all manufactured to help the emergency teams in using the right equipment to work well in any situation. These Police Lights are very powerful and are configured as per the need of the vehicle. When motorists see these flashing lights in their rear view driving mirror, they automatically move over to the side of the road to allow the speeding vehicle to proceed on its way. These Police Lights can be mounted with mounting brackets or clamped onto the desired area with suction cups.

Police Lights are concealed in the vehicle and used only in emergencies. Though these powerful lights can be used in very high intensity, the police generally send out low flashes, up to about 30 seconds, to warn approaching traffic, or traffic zooming ahead to give way for them to rush to their rescue operations. Police Lights are generally accompanied with the wailing of Police Sirens that warn people of the fast approaching emergency vehicle. The 3 watt Generation 3 LED Lights can be very thin or flat depending on where they have to be used.

Police Lights used as flashlights are generally takedown lights that are fitted to LED Light Bars and can be easily removed from the unit. These lights are used by the police when approaching the apprehended car. Police need to protect themselves from criminals who may be armed. Hence utmost caution is required when approaching a car that has broken the speed limit for some reason. Police use loudspeakers to give instructions to the driver and may turn on the high beam to freeze the drive to inaction. Manufacturers continue to design and introduce state-of-the art Police Lights to help the emergency teams in securing law and order for the State.
