Hypertension - What Is It?
Hypertension is an abnormal increase of blood pressure. The cause is generally not known, but hypertension is often accompanied by arteriosclerosis or kidney disease. Blood pressure is the force or power that can be deployed by the heart to pump blood to the entire body. This pressure can rise temporarily after physical activity or emotional stress but after relaxing for a while will be back to normal.
In approximately 10% of cases of hypertension, the cause could be found because of a physical disorder such as renal failure, disturbances in the artery of kidney, adrenal imbalance disorders or narrowing of the aortic blood vessels of the heart.
Stress is the important factor that needs to be considered for patients with hypertension. It is suggested that we learn to avoid a tense situation and circumstances change in lifestyle, for example:
* Eat regularly and not in a hurry
* Avoid tension
* Let you relax on time
* Be not excessive in all things
