Horse Dressage is one game that basically needs a lot of time and lots of devotion. After all, it is just the rider as well as the pony going at it when time comes for competitions. BUt unlike in another sporting activities where you can simply stash the gear in some corner or some closet when they aren't in use, the same thing cannot be said and done for horses and they require attention from their dressage trainers.

In all seriousness, horses which are being prepared and groomed for a contest have to ba taken cared of very well ang groomed so that the pony is in tip top shape when time comes for a contest. Just try and imahine how beautiful it is to see their glossy coats and silky tails? This is part of what a dressage trainer does. You really don't need a sick looking pony to be the one you use for the duration of a contest right? Also, these trainers are the ones that train the horses to respond to verbal gestures so that they may perform well in competitions. You would not want to take a mount to a pony dressage battle when that mount has not been under the tutelage of a dressage trainer or you will just be wasting ...
... your time.

If you think that you happen to be really keen on dressage, go out and look for a dressage trainer and also check out things like dressage tests so you have more knowledge about what to expect in these dressage competitions that you will be getting into. The mount is not the only thing that must undergo training; you may be forced to put in a lot of training hours as well, preferably using the mount that you plan to ride. It may seem like such an easy thing to buy or borrow one but the fact still stands that you will need a big budget if you are looking to take up dressage since you will have to pay for your dressage saddle, dressage trainers and other equipment that you will need for you to be successful. Think of it as any other sport you possess to invest in if you really are interested.
