Each tracking device reads its own position via GPS satellites. Depending on the communication technology of the satellite tracking device, this information is sent either to one of four communication satellites, which covers the whole world, or to a particular cellular network. The information is then transmitted to the servers installed at GlobalTrack where the data is then processed.
