Dogs, especially growing puppies are very friendly and playful. At their age, they enjoy playing with toys and learn various new skills and exercises. There are varieties of interactive dog toys available in the market which can also be used to train them. As market is flooded with dog products and dog toys, one should be a bit selective and careful while choosing the right product for their cutie ones.

Right type of dog toys are extremely eminent to support your puppies and they create a playful environment for them. Buying ordinary dog toys is not advisable as such dog toys can be fatal and harmful. Make sure that the dog products you have bought are made of quality material and provide a safe entertainment to your dog.

Size and shape of the toy: Always be careful about the shape and size of the toy. The shape and size should match with the age of your puppy. The dog chew toy must not have sharp edges and corners as it may harm ...
... your dog. Small toys like dog toy ball can be dangerous if there is no one around. If it is possible, let them play with the toys when you are there to supervise.

You should also consider your dog's breed at the time of purchasing a toy. Here are few important points to keep in mind while selecting a perfect toy for your dog.

Jaw Strength: The size of your dog is important but its jaw strength is equally important. Some of the small dogs have more powerful jaw than breeds which are twice their size. A toy which may be safer for a breed such as Cavalier King Charles Spaniel can be dangerous for others like Terrier.

Dog Toys with Moving Parts: Toys with moving parts may harm your dog if broken.

Painted Dog Toys: Do not compromise with the quality of the toy, cheap dog toys are painted with lead paint. Lead paint can pose a health risk to your dog. Avoid dog toys which use toxic materials.

Buy Soft toys: Hard plastic toys can cut paws, mouths and throats. Dog toys made up with soft plastic or latex are safer than hard plastic toys.

Dog products are available in a wide range, but one should always take care that the dog product they are buying is fulfilling their dog's need and at the same time providing it with a safe and healthy entertainment.
