Web based advertisement has quickly become one of the most efficient advertisement methods currently available. The immediate publishing of information, available worldwide has made it become the popular form of promotion that it is today.
One of the major advantages that this innovative advertisement method offers is that the content of the advertisement is not limited by a geographical zone or time, in comparison to other much limited marketing methods. The second most important reason of why web based advertisement has become the huge phenomenon it is today is because of the efficiency of the advertiser's investment. What this means is that online advertisement offers customization options that are impossible to apply on other advertisement methods. For instance, advertisers are able to show their advertisements only on relevant sites or alongside search results of related keywords.
There are different ways and methods that are used for online advertisement. Some of them include: floating ads, wallpaper ad, trick banner, pop-ups, ...
... video ad, e-mail advertisement, mobile ad and video add. Regardless the type of advertisement, there are three standard ways in which online advertisement is purchased.
The first one is known as CPM or Cost Per Mille, also called Cost Per Thousand. This purchase method basically establishes a determined exposure of the message for a specific audience. When the advertisers pay for the delivery of a targeted visitor, it is called CPV or Cost per Visitor. However, when the advertiser pay for each time a user clicks on the advertisement and is redirected to their website, its called CPC. This method is one of the most of the most used online advertisement offers, since the advertiser doesn't pay for the listing, but for the times the listing is clicked on, making it more effective than similar methods. Using this method also allows the advertisers to select a series of target rich words that will direct only relevant traffic to their website, increasing even more its efficacy as an innovative online advertisement method.
Online advertising has proven to be the marketing tool of the future, improving your knowledge about it will certainly help you as an advertiser to improve the revenues of your business.
