Use Effective Home Remedies For Prickly Heat
Prickly heat or prickly heat rash appears when sweat doesn't dry quickly and it accumulates in different parts of the body. It is painful and irritating and it can appear at people of all ages. Near waist, underarms, back and chest are the most affected parts of the body. The sign of a prickly heat attack is the apparition of some red bumps that cause a severe itching and create a very great discomfort. Fortunately, it does not cause a skin disease and it is not harmful. Prickly heat appears in humid and hot climate but it can attack no matter how weather is like. Red bumps can persist 4-5 days or several months depending how severe the attack is. The most common causes of this problem attacks are junk food, smoking, stressful and unhealthy life style, alcohol, food poisoning and acidity, cancer, or the side effects of some medicines. Severe inflammation, red bulges on back, chest and around waists and acute itching are the main symptoms of this problem.
Fortunately there are many home remedies to get rid of prickly heat. For example, sitting in a cool room or taking a cool bath is enough to get rid of it.

... powder is very efficient, too having the property to reduce inflammation and to sooth skin. Add a little amount of it in the bath tub stirring it well and then dip in the bath tub.
Ointments and talcum powder are also recommended in prickly heat attacks. You can use non-perfumed or herbal talcum powder after every bath. This powder absorbs extra moisture of the body keeping the skin dry. You can repeat the process several times. Aloe Vera based lotions and some herbal ointments are beneficial, too.
Ice cubes can be successfully used in treating prickly heat provoked by humid and hot climate. Run a cub of ice on the red bulges and the inflammation will be reduced and the red swellings will be punctured.
Gram flour is one of the easiest remedies to get rid of prickly heat. Mix the gram flour with some water to obtain a paste. Apply the paste on the red bulges and let it get dry. Wash the paste with cold water. Gram flour paste has the property to remove the dead skin and to reduce considerably inflammation.
Sandalwood powder is another great natural remedy. Take equal quantities of sandalwood powder and coriander (1 or 2 tablespoons) and mix them with rose powder to obtain a paste. Apply the paste on the affected areas and let it dry. Remove it with cold water. The beneficial effect will be felt immediately.
Multani mitti or Fuller's earth is a home remedy, too. Mix 4-5 tbsp mitti with 2-3 tbsp of plain water and rose water to obtain a thick paste. Apply the paste on the affected area and let it dry 2-3 hours. Remove it with cold water.
Margosa neem leaves are another home remedy that cam be successfully applied to get rid of prickly heat. Make a paste from 20-25 Margosa neem leaves and water and apply it on the affected areas. After the paste got dry, wash it in cold water.
