Concert tickets for various different artists are being sold online, offering everyone easy access to a chance to see them perform live around the country. For example, many websites currently list tour dates for modern singers such as Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Scouting For Girls, Rihanna, Take That, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs, Enrique Iglesias, The Wanted, and lots more. There are also tickets on sale for more classic bands and musicians, targeted at an older market, including Chris De Burgh, and several tribute acts.

Lots of websites also sell festival tickets which allow you access to events like Bestival, Creamfields, Sonisphere, Isle of Wight Festival and Camp B festival. Generally, there are various genres in which each concert is listed online, for example Rock, Pop, Festivals, and Clubs and Dance. These make it much easier for the user to search the particular one that takes their interest instead of going through all of the events which they are not into. If you have a specific artist or concert in mind, ...
... then you can enter a search word into the search bar and it should take you through to what you are looking for. This beats queuing up for hours in the cold and rain to book your tickets at the box office where there is no guarantee you will get decent seats. At least online retailers can warn you of when the tickets will be going on sale, so you have a better chance to be ready to log on and grab them as fast as you can. This gives you a much better chance of booking front row seats, or ones as close to the stage as possible.

Large national tours for famous artists tend to take place at various big arena venues across the UK. These include The O2 in London, the LG Arena in Birmingham, Cardiff International Arena, MEN Arena in Manchester, Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Capital FM Arena in Nottingham and the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, as well as various other places. Smaller but still popular gigs for new or less famous artists may take place at local theatres in cities such as Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton or Leeds.
