Trisara Owners Buy Mom Tri's Boathouse Phuket, Thailand

Phuket, Thailand: Three Dolphins Group, which owns and operates the world famous Trisara resort in Phuket, has announced that it has purchased Mom Tri's Boathouse on Kata Beach, Phuket.

Khun Narong Pattamasaevi, the Executive Chairman of Three Dolphins Co. Ltd., made the announcement last week, when he explained that the Group has acquired one hundred percent of the shares of The Boathouse Inn and Restaurant Company, including other related properties in Phuket such as, the Oasis Spring Tapas Bar which is adjacent to Mom Tri's Boathouse.

The Boathouse was established over twenty years ago by Mom Luang Tridhosyuth Devakul, who is better known as ‘Mom Tri'.

The luxury Phuket property has thirty-three rooms, three suites and two pool villas, all with sea views.

The Boathouse Wine & Grill is famous in Phuket and throughout Thailand for its gourmet French and Thai cuisine; the wine cellar is renowned for being amongst the best in Thailand and has won many awards.

The kitchen is run by Executive Chef Jean-Noël Lumineau, only Maître Cuisinier de France in Thailand.

... Khun Narong insists that the Three Dolphins Group will continue the same traditions that have made Mom Tri's Boathouse famous and bagged it numerous awards over the years.

It will remain under the management of Louis Bronner, a close friend of Prince Henrik, the Prince of Denmark.

Bronner earned the Phuket resort its first Wine Spectator award in 1995 and, in 2006, the Boathouse made history by becoming the first in Thailand to win the Wine Spectator "Two-Glasses" Best of Award of Excellence. To prove it was no fluke, Bronner won the award again 2007 and 2008.

Gourmet food lovers should be relieved to know that Executive Chef Jean-Noël Lumineau will be staying too.
