Florida is full of things for people to see and do, from visiting the beaches on the Gulf Coast and the beaches on the Atlantic shores to visiting the many theme parks scattered across the state. Everyone can have a great time in Florida, no matter what type of attraction you like.

If dinosaurs fascinate you or your children, you must make a trip out to big lizard World in Plant City. This is heaven for a dinosaur lover and any kids who want to grow up to be a paleontologist. The 12-acre park contains over 150 well made and creative dinosaur replicas. As you and the family walk along the beautiful trails around big lizard World, you will see some of these great beasts. Of course, you will be able to see many of the popular and famous creatures, such as the T-Rex, stegosaurus and triceratops. You can also see the massive brachiosaurus and the fearsome spinosaurus.

However, you can also find quite a few dinosaurs that are a bit more obscure such as the Tsintaosaurus and the Pachycephalosaurus. Each of these animals along these paths has a plaque near them that tells the guests some interesting details about ...
... the huge dragons.

The park offers many other things to do besides the trails and seeing all of the wonderful creatures.

Children will have a great time when he or she participates in the fossil dig. The dig is one of the favorite features of the park, a place where kids from 3 - 12 can dig through the sand and look for some fossils.

They can find many different kinds of fossils, from trilobites, amber, coral and even shark's teeth while in the fossil dig. As a souvenir, the children are allowed to keep up to three of the fossils they find. This is included in the admission price, however if you are over 12 (or under 3) and still want to dig for the fossils, you will have to pay an extra 2 dollar.

The whole family will have a great day at Dinosaur World. Admission for adults is 12.75, 9.75 dollar for children 3 - 12 and 10.75 dollar for seniors over 60. You can even bring your friendly, leashed pets to the park.
