The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was built by a German investment bank in partnership with Marriott International Inc. The new addition to the strip was opened on Dec. 15, 2010 and cost approximately $3.9 billion dollars to erect. The Wynn cost $2.7 billion and Bellagio cost 1.6 billion respectfully at the time of their construction. The Cosmopolitan is with moving art in the lobby and video-screen columns. And its 13 restaurants offer world-class cuisine will satisfy the taste buds. The lustrous chairs and modern-day artwork give the West Wing of MGM Grand rooms a contemporary look. The West Wing room rates vary from $60 to $190 dollars a night. Tropicana Hotel Wing Implosion

On November 9, 2010, the 300 room wing of the Tropicana of Las Vegas was imploded at 2:30 am. The original structure was built in 1962 and was demolished to make room for Nikki Beach as well as other massive renovations such as additional parking. The hotel wing was removed to make room for a second entrance to the property and gain access Nikki Beach pool and nightclub, which is scheduled to open in spring 2011. Tropicana's Nikki Beach aims to be Vegas' best nightclub and entertainment.
