Maid of Honor speeches are different. Most wedding speeches are given by the father of the bride or groom or even the best man. So they are speeches that are given from a male perspective. She will be speaking as someone who will in all probability, be spending lots of time in that home. Sometimes, of course, she may live at a distance from the couple but the understanding is there that their relationship is an ongoing and very close one.
