One Of National Hockey League Captains Brian Gionta
Brian Joseph Gionta is now 31 years old and birthday on 18th January. As the professional hockey player and the captain of Montreal Canadiens, he is the second captain who was born in American of Canadiens. Gio is his nickname named by teammates, he is also the second shortest player in the NHL. He is known as an indomitable player.
Gionta was first picked by New Jersey Devils in 1998 NHL Entry Draft. When he joined senior middle school at the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, NY, as diminutive. Finished his college in Boston in 2001. In the 2000-2001 season, he help the team win a National Championship as Eagles captain. Current Atlanta Thrashers forward Marty Reasoner give him the "Rochester" name. He enjoyed his best statistical at that time with Reasoner as a teammate, posting 30 goals and 62 points in 40 games as the Eagles fell against the University of Michigan in Boston.
In his sophomore year in Boston College, He got 60 points that year, but eliminated by Hockey Ease rival, the University of Maine in the Frozen Four semifinals.

He also joined the 2006 U.S. Men's Olympic Hockey team which was held in Turin, Italy.

Gionta at last signed a 5-year contract for $25 Million with the Montreal Canadiens On July 1, 2009. The former Devils teammate Scott Gomez also played in Montreal Canadiens with him.
