A vibrating feeder is an industrial machine that could be described as a shaking conveyor. They are used by most manufacturing companies in their line of production.

They can be used for many different manufacturing materials which sift and sorts materials. They come in all different sizes and with different mesh.

The food industry is the first industry that comes to mind and the Pharmaceutical is another common industry that relies on vibrating feeders. With the food industry they are used with many materials like nuts, snacks, mussels, coffee, pasta, tea ect. With the pharmaceutical industry they help sorting and sifting vitamins, powders and tablets. Basically they improve the flow of work of processing and packaging.

If you're thinking about buying a vibrating feeder for your manufacturing process you need to really be sure your getting the right feeder for the job you want it to do. A standard feeder might not do exactly as you want so you may need to go for a bespoke model. The materials you use will determine what type of feeder you need. If it's for the food industry the feeder ...
... will need to be made using hygienic materials.

The best way of getting the right feeder is to invite a sales rep from the company you're looking to buy the feeder from. Getting the spec right or another words explaining exactly what you want it to do is very important. You may be able to explain this over the phone but it might be worth getting a consultation and having the sales rep visit your factory and see the process as it stands now.

Most manufacturers are constantly working on creating new solutions for processing and handling of materials so speaking to several companies is a must. Also second hand reconditioned vibrating feeders could be used, saving you money and of course recycling is always good.

So if your company has goals to do the best job possible in the fastest and cheapest way possible then you should already be using vibratory feeders, if not then this should be something to think about. Those who snooze loose!
