The Power Of God's Love Can Change Your Life

Do you want victory in your life? Do you have problems with addiction, relationships, depression? Do you sometimes doubt that you will ever overcome?

The key to victory over difficult life circumstances is the power of God's love!

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, throughout all generations, forever and ever, amen. Ephesians 3:17-21

Only through the power of unconditional love-the way God designed it-do we have the power to be overcomers. In Ephesians, Paul's prayer for us is to be filled with God's love. Why? So that He would be able to bless us and receive glory for the victories in our lives.

The power of God's love has already accomplished so much! He loved ...
... us enough to create usHe desired fellowship and designed and created us for that purpose. But in order for that love to be real, he created us to be independent. He gave us the freedom to love Him or not. That way, the love we would return to Him would have so much more meaning since it wouldn't be coerced. Love isn't real and true and perfectly fulfilled until it is returned out of a willing heart.

But we rejected God's love when we turned away and believed a lie. We refused to trust in God's Word and so proved that our love wasn't real. So God had to give us Jesus, the ultimate act of love, so that we could learn what real love is.

God's love is so powerful that it overcame our failure to love Him. It is so powerful that it raised a dead man, Jesus, to life. It is so powerful that it raised a dead woman, me, to live again! So if it is powerful enough to raise the dead, it is powerful enough to cure any disease, sickness, and addiction. It is powerful enough to restore your relationships, finances, and character flaws. God's love can do anything as long as His love-His power- is at work in us.

You, my brethren, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command:Love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:13-15

The power to overcome is ours when we love unconditionally. But how? Remember how you were loved unconditionally by God! Sometime, somewhere, someone loved you into the kingdom. They loved you enough to pray for you, to have faith that God would save you, to intercede for you. You were rooted and established in love at that point. And so now, you are saved. And now you are called to love unconditionally.

Only as we love unconditionally, the way God loves, will we be able to see the power of God's love at work in our lives.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation (deliverance, healing, wholeness, protection) of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 1:16
