Utilise Your Bathroom By Implementing A New Design

At one time, bathrooms were utilitarian in design, for function rather than beauty. Nowadays every room in your house should make a design statement, right down to the smallest room. There is no room which cannot be enhanced by modern rugs and bathrooms are perfect for this.
Bathrooms get a lot of usage and modern rugs are an ideal floor covering as they are remarkably easy to clean and can withstand steam and water splashes to provide a durable and modern look.
Bathrooms vary a great deal in size and shape, as sometimes they have often been converted from other rooms. If your bathroom is small, then keep it simple. Use the lighter colour palette to prevent it from looking dull and gloomy. Rectangular modern rugs in one of the smaller sizes are perfect as they come in a range of colours and design, making them extremely versatile. They are also an economic way of brightening up a small bathroom as they can easily be replaced if you want to update your look. Colour is important in your small bathroom. Try pink on the walls for a warming effect, in a plain pattern though you could use a textured wallpaper to add ...
... interest. Add a couple of modern rugs in red to prevent your bathroom looking insipid and team this with some bright accessories such as toilet holders and tooth brush mugs.
Another popular colour for bathrooms is blue. I find this colour a little cold for a large bathroom but it works well in the smaller bathroom and again it is easy to match up modern rugs and bathroom accessories in this colour. Try a pictorial blind on the window to add interest without being overpowering. Keep other accessories to the minimum as you need to avoid your bathroom looking cluttered. Try a wicker basket or small chest to keep those essential bathroom items in and prevent them spreading around to spoil your design effect. If you have a large bathroom it is important that the room looks welcoming. A long luxurious soak in the bath with candles and scented oils is an ideal relaxant after a stressful day. Choose colours which will make the room seem warm and welcoming. Almost any colour is suitable for this if you choose the correct shade. Look for muted reds to add warmth and match up with modern rugs in these shades.
The ideal place for a modern rug is having it situated by the side of the bath to step onto when you get out, and don't worry about the water dripping onto your modern rugs; they are made to be tough. Other ideas can be implemented to add character by adding large pictures on your walls to break up the colour, and some mood lighting, and your bathroom will be the ideal place to unwind at the end of the day. You can also use modern rugs to carry your design theme through from your bedroom to your en suite bathroom. As modern rugs come in such a range of colours and designs, you can use the same rug, or one in a different colour to add continuity.
