Made from durable silicone rubber, silicone keypads are available in either conductive or nonconductive configurations to suit any design requirement. The keypad may interface directly with a printed circuit board (conductive) or with a membrane switch or other type of switches (non-conductive).

There are two basic types of rubber keypads:

INTEGRAL: One-piece construction incorporating the keys and the keymat. This type may be constructed in one or several colors, and with or without legends or other special features. This type of rubber keypad is designed to fit directly into a bezel, typically in hand held devices.
