Urinary incontinence is something that is not uncommon anymore. A lot of people are getting affected by it and looking for ways to cure it to save themselves from trouble as well as embarrassment. Knowing and accepting that you are suffering from it is a sign that you have finally given up and realized that it is something you have to deal with now. In the beginning, you may even think of it as something unreal or something temporary, but as you will notice that it is consistent, you will have to deal with it and do your best to get rid of it.

Now, there are several types of urinary incontinence and there are some common solutions as well. So, let's dig deeper and discover what those types are and how you can cure involuntary urination.

Let's now discuss some different types of urinary incontinence:

- Urge incontinence - ‘Nervous' bladder is what people suffer from when they have urge incontinence. It may happen due to various different things including nervousness, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or a stroke; which directly affects the sphincter muscles and make them overactive, resulting ...
... in leaks.

- Functional incontinence - This particular incontinence problem is caused by a person's inability to reach the toilet on time due to some sort of disability either physical or mental. Hence, in this particular case, usually, urinary tract works fine.

- Stress incontinence - When we say stress then we refer to physical stress which is caused by movement, like when you suddenly change your position, or sneeze or even laugh. It results in putting pressure on the bladder which makes it to leak. In men, it usually happens due to prostate enlargement.

- Overflow incontinence - When sphincter muscles get weaker, a person can't successfully empty his bladder fully. Thus, it results in overflow and leaks.

Let's now discuss some of the common solutions to involuntary urination:

Before you think about medications or surgery, it is advisable to first try out the natural methods to improve your condition.

- Bladder Control Pads - They are highly absorbent pads. They are beneficial because no one can see them through clothing. Thus, the chances of getting embarrassed are reduced with bladder control pads. Plus, they give you enough time to get to the toilet.

- Dryness Aids - NASA technology was used to develop them. With some sort of chemical, they turn liquid waste into a solid substance to prevent your body from getting wet.

- Kegel Exercises - Pelvic floor exercises, called keggels, are used to make the weak muscles stronger to prevent incontinence. They are the same muscles that you would use to stop urinating.

- Medications - For incontinence there are a lot of medications available on the market. Use medications only if natural ways are not successful.

- Surgery - This should be the last option on your list. Don't go for it until you have tried all the methods discussed above.
