Once was a time when all elites constrained their child from any external influence by inducing homeschooling rather than sending their child to normal schools with other children. Some of them thought the practice of sending their child to school may lead to dilution of the blood lines in the long run as the chances of finding a partner over there may rise with extensive contact between various people. Some of the parents considered it to be a class statement to educate their child at home itself by providing all educational facilities at the house itself. The reason may be any but the fact remained for long that homeschooling was a bastion strongly secured by the rich of the society and proletariat could not even think of providing it to their child as the associated costs were quite high and not every dick and harry could arrange for a private and able tutor.

Over the period, the scene has changed drastically with the intervention of newer findings in the field of psychology as the psychiatrists world over denounced this practice for the sake of overall development of the child. The major concern attached was that ...
... of sociology. According to some psychiatrists, such children find it difficult to make friends and gel with people in their later part of lives. Acknowledging the same reasons most of the upper crust of the society also censured the practice of providing homeschooling to their child and mostly preferred boarding schools instead, though the practice is still followed by a limited number of families.

In today's world, many a children may not even feel comfortable with the idea of studying and preparing for the exams throughout at the home as the class room learning system has nurtured their ‘sociological' roots and have captivated them with the concept of learning and living with their peers and mates without which, their life may feel incomplete. It would not be wrong to express that the concept of homeschooling belongs to the days bygone and in today's world even the elites of the elite may not consider it for their child until and unless it is very necessary as the case may be for the security of child of certain people. In fact, the middle class has also overcome the mental barrier of considering it for their child despite the fact that now a days a lot more people can the afford the concept for their child.
