Audio visual or AV as its shortened refers to work which is both sound and visual. The most obvious type work is in the entertainment field where there are roles in television, film and music videos. Other work which has an AV element is corporate conferences, exhibitions, public events and business presentations. Jobs include roles such as venue technicians, sound engineers, AV managers, venue project manager to name just a few.

An Audio Visual Technicians main responsibility is to set up, operate and maintain all types of audio visual equipment which are required for events. This could be all the sounds and visual for a fashion show or it could be getting all the same for a business presentation.

To be considered for an AV technician role you will have to have excellent technical skills and be familiar with all the main types of audio visual equipment.
