Hamilton Heights Apartments are located in the Upper Manhattan area from 135th to 145th Street and are bordered by Saint Nicholas Avenue on east and the Riverside Park on the West. This cultural hub is home to the City College, Alexander Hamilton's home, Harlem School of Arts, Riverbank State Park and Jackie Robinson Conservatory. The transportation system available in the area is quite good with express trains available for mid town at regular intervals.

Living Options Available

Hamilton Heights apartments offer a wide range of options for living. The apartments are mainly pre-war and quite spacious. In the recent years there has been a considerable increase in new developments and construction and so there are several newer options available for those considering this area. The prices for rental properties are still quite reasonable when compared to the other parts of Manhattan. For most apartments, the rent tends to be in the range of $800 to $1400 but one bedroom apartments can also be found for less than $800 for those on a tight budget. The two bedroom properties can mostly be found for rentals up to $2500 ...

Selecting the Building

Hamilton Heights apartments offer a diverse range of options when it comes to buildings. You will be able to find luxury, new high rises as well as pre-war apartment buildings and walkups. Depending on your budget, you will be able to find expensive lofts as well as simple studios. If you are looking for luxury apartments, you can check some of the newer buildings that have just been constructed in the area. You will also have to think about the location and the street of the building and select something that is safe as well as offers necessary amenities close at hand. Check the condition of the building as well as the apartment before you apply for it.

Applying for Apartments

Like the rest of Manhattan, the apartments in Hudson Heights also have tough and stringent rules and regulations. For most apartments there would be a no pet and no smoking policy. The landlords will also have a salary requirement and you would be required to furnish the necessary papers and documents in order to be eligible for the apartment. If you are new to the city and are not really aware about these rules and regulations then the best thing to do would be to contact a real estate agency and ask for their help. Good real estate agencies would be able to show you Hamilton Heights apartments in your budget as well as help you with the paperwork and application for the apartment.
