Are The People Ready For The 3d Tv Revolution?
After the onset of the digital TV, the arrival of 3D TV has been much sooner than expected, hence people are still skeptical and wondering how to go about it. The arrival of a new technology means that purchase of new gadgets and appliances and phasing out of the old ones does cost money as well as time.
Considering the uncertain economic conditions and bare recovery situations, the market for 3D TV is still shaky.
Presently digital TV providers and 3D TV manufacturers are promoting the technology in a coordinated manner. The best example of which is the joint partnership with Sky and LG in promoting 3D TV programmes and TV sets. Moreover the cost of availing the multiple glasses and the 3D TV set has to be configured out as well. It is very much likely that most people would like the entire 3D TV segment to stabilize still further and before they actually spend on the same.
Apart from this, television programmes are available on demand i.e. through the Internet which means yet another convenience feature for TV viewers for most of them are likely to avail Internet service and catch up on their missed programmes. In case they wish to watch 3D TV, they can easily visit a cinema hall or a pub which has 3D TV installed in them.
With many technology infusions, people are finding it fast paced to absorb them each one of them, hence the promoters of 3D TV market it in a slightly different way or go a bit slow on this till an affordable and better interactive technology is introduced which the people are willing to accept.
3D TV has arrived and is likely to gain popularity. It is simply a matter of time and use of suitable promotional techniques which will ensure that 3D TV is acceptable by people on the home front as well.
