Myths About Link Building That You Should Avoid

Link building is a very important process that you should use if you are looking to links from reputable sites back to your site. Considered to be the lifeline of any online business, link building is extremely in terms of getting you recognition. This is why it is very important to understand what the common link building myths are in order to work more effectively. Here are a few of the myths that are doing the rounds in the online marketplace:
The first myth states that it is bad for you to leave your website's link on a relatively new or low ranking inner page of another site that has an overall high page rank for its home page. This is absolutely false. If you're looking for a good strategy, then it would be wise to look for a site or sites that have good quality and link to these. When you link to these sites, you could be linking to any of the pages within the site. And you'll probably get the best results possible.
The second myth states that you should always get links to those sites that relevant and are in the same niche as your business otherwise these links will be considered to be irrelevant and won't ...
... help in your SEO campaign. You could even get penalized by Google. This is also not true. Ideally, it is important to obtain those links that are in the same niche as yours, but it would not hurt you to obtain links from those sites that belong to completely different niche as well. Google does not really exert any control over the links that come in to your site. If this myth were to be true, many people would indeed start linking bad sites to that of their competitors just to bring them down.
The third myth basically states that building too many backlinks too fast will probably get you penalized by Google. This should be taken with a pinch of salt as there is no definite way to define what is considered to be too many links. The average online marketer would not normally build tens of thousands of links per day. Only if this were to happen would it be considered as too many links.
Now that you know what myths are doing the rounds in the online marketplace, you can try out link building in a better way.
