Starting Solids Babies

I could never understand women who refuse to breastfeed their babies. Don't they realize that breastfeeding is the only time when their babies are getting their complete nutrition at the right temperature, in sterile packaging, any time they want? After starting solids, babies suddenly become little gourmets, with particular requirements and tastes, and your life becomes much more complicated.
The rule of thumb for when is the right time for starting solids for babies is, when they double their weight or at about 6 months. There are other, more visible signs that babies are ready to starting solids: when they can sit well unsupported, when they can hold their head, when they do not push their food out of the mouth with their tongue, as when suckling. And it is definitively time for starting solids for babies when they reach for your food, whether it is caviar or a burger.
Once they start solids babies need well-balanced meals made of wholesome ingredients. In today's world, the only way to ensure that what your baby is eating is wholesome is to buy organic. Read labels: in many countries, there is a certification ...
... and verification system to ensure that what is labeled ‘organic' is truly organic. Why organic? Because organic food is grown on farms without any artificial chemicals, like pesticides, fertilizers, insecticides, without hormones, irradiation and genetically modified species. All those chemicals leave invisible chemical residue that cannot be washed, which accumulate in our bodies and cause a range of health problems. Because of their small size and fast metabolism, babies are much more sensitive to those chemicals than adults.
Starting solids for babies is the beginning of constant worry for working mothers, who do not have the time to go to the market and buy fresh organic produce, and then spend hours preparing a wonderful gourmet meal out of it. Their husbands wish they did, but they do not. They spend whole day working, and for them starting solids for their babies is the time to discover a good, reputable manufacturer of packaged baby food. Fortunately, busy mothers are in luck, and there are great, ready-made organic products on the market. Organic is the key word, so read the label. Make sure that you are buying, and paying for, really organic, high quality food for your infant.
At the time when they are starting solids, babies are developing their taste as well. It is good idea to introduce a variety of different foods to them, to get them accustomed to different flavors, textures, colors and combinations. Get them ready to enjoy the delights of food, but good, tasty, high quality food. If you are lucky, they will never ask for a burger and fries.
