Nowadays a website is not just an advertisement but is a virtual shop on the internet. Just like one wants the shop to have a professional look the same way the website needs to have a professional look to.

What does a professional look mean?
A professional look refers to a look that is for business purpose and generation of revenue through marketing of products or services. The look includes not only the clothing of the employees but also the interiors of the office or the shop where the business is operated from. This principle is applicable to a website, the purpose of which is to generate revenue through sale of products or services offered through it (website).

How does it look if a text matter is presented without any paragraphs? How does it feel when you read a very long sentence? This is absolutely unprofessional because this means that the content developer does not care whether the visitor reads it or not. Paragraphs and bullets should be used to make the text content appealing.

The splash pages are usually without any information and usually the first to pop up on the screen when the website URL is clicked. At times it becomes very irritating for the visitor when going through the splash pages becomes mandatory. The visitor may click on another website because of this. It is better to do away with the splash pages.

Banners:
The posting of the banners should be limited and restricted to the bottom or the right hand margins and not the left hand margins because most of the people read from left to right.
