Drivers needing training classes in Mckinney, Texas have many options in course providers to choose from. And there are a couple good reasons to take a class, even if you think you don’t need one.

Are you just looking for a defensive driving class to get your insurance lowered? Did you know that successfully completing a defensive driving class can result in a 10% decrease in your motor vehicle insurance rates for three years? You don’t even have to pay a lot to take a course. In fact, if you’re not planning on using the completion certificate in traffic court anywhere in Texas, (including Mckinney), then you don’t have to pay the $25 minimum amount that the state requires for those course. Of course, since you can’t use the less expensive ones in court, you might as well sign up for the $25 one in case you ever need it to help you with a traffic ticket.

That’s the other good reason: Did you know that taking a defense driving training course can get your traffic fine waived in a McKinney TX court? You will need ...
... to make Sure that the driver training course you’re taking is on the approved list †not all courses can be used to waive traffic tickets. There are a couple ways to do this; make sure you use a course provider that specifically states that their courses are approved by the Texas Education Agency, or go the TEA website yourself to consult the list. When you complete your training, the course provider will send your two certificates, one for court and one for your insurance, so it does pay to take the $25 course. You can still use it for your insurance company regardless.

Course providers around town in McKinney, TX require that you give up a day, as the training class itself is 6 hours long, (which is a requirement of the state of Texas). That really means you’ll have to give up two days, one for the course, and one for your court date, (if you’re taking it to waive a traffic fine). Cut this in half by using an established online company for the course.

Defensive Driving Solutions has been offering driver training courses to Texas residents in the most convenient way for years. All our courses are TEA approved, and our certificates are accepted by all Texas traffic courts, (including Mckinney’s). By taking your courses online, you can do them at your own pace. You can complete all 6 hours in one sitting and have the completion certificate processed on the very next business day, (if you finished your course before 3pm). You can also choose to stretch the 6 hours out for absolute convenience, and only work on it when you have a minute. We give you 90 days to complete your defensive driving course. This is certainly a better option than giving up practically a whole day of your schedule.
