Americans usually upgrade their phones yearly. Much more the Asians who sometimes upgrade on a whim and do it once or twice, sometimes thrice a year! What happens with the old phones? These old phones are either given to someone else or are just forgotten completely by their owners. The ones who receive these phones usually recycle them. Remember, they might be reconditioned and they can still function quite well. With the help of replacement parts, cell phones that seem to be beyond repair can still be fixed.

Now, you can also get some sites online that advertises they buy old phones. These companies purchase your old phone plus they recycle them. Initially they check the condition of the phone and they suggest a price. In three day's time, the seller will get his payment via bank transfer and the like .
