More foreigners want to stay with Kenyan families

This phenomena is not new at all in other parts of the world but it definitely showed its roots in Kenya especially after the World Social Forum in 2007 which was held in Kenya. More Kenyan families were required to host foreigners/ delegates coming to this conference the number was estimated to be as high as 5000.

However, this demand is never met with more and more hotels in Kenya coming up more and more people want to be integrated with the African Families to learn our ways, our culture and so on. However, most foreigners are not into this game with a free mind and they still act like ‘yark!’. One has to know to be an African you have to be welcoming, a good listener, patient, expressive and loyal. For example the contrast between a wedding or burial ceremony in an African set up is more of prestige and very lively as compared to the people in the Western world.
