... at a major IT firm? Wondering if you fit the role of a data analyst? As a data analyst you will analyze data and provide services to many of our Fortune 1000 clients. You will have the opportunity to work in multiple software analyst platforms. You will interact with customers, vendors and management to provide insight and analysis for some of the most important global businesses. Some of the day to day tasks will include being engaged in identifying, analyzing and helping resolve complex problems relating to product or service installation, hardware or software updates, and other aspects of information technology. Though primary tasks for this position are compilation and analysis of numerical information, a data analyst often takes on other roles. He/ she should have technical expertise with automatic data collection and reporting systems, including a capacity for program troubleshooting and system security measures.

How about a systems analyst job? As a System analyst, you will perform administration of IT systems. This will involve creating and maintain effective system controls, defining and documenting business requirements, and performing user testing. In addition, you will work to maintain a disaster recovery plan for vital systems and suggest process improvements based on requirement analysis. You will also perform analysis of data, practices and procedures and reviews. Thus you will be involved in End to End Systems analyst assisting in project deliverables. You are expected to plan using such techniques as data modeling, structured analysis, mathematical model building and sampling and also perform a cost-benefits analysis.
