Peter Max is one of America's most popular living artists today and there are many people who would love to an original hanging on a wall in their home or office. With over forty museum shows around the world, this artist's work also graces the art collections of several United States presidents. He is often commissioned for specific events, such as a historic signing of a peace treaty or as the official artist for the 1994 World Cup.

Why is a Peter Max painting so popular? Beside his use of vibrant colors, he also works in a number of mediums. Oils, pastels, pencils, watercolors, and some lithographs can be found, as well as a number of others. His work is often associated with the psychedelic era of the 1960's. However, original art from Peter Max can cross over many different art movements. His style has influenced commercial art and in some cases, it resembles comic strip art.

Peter Max was featured on the cover Life magazine in 1969, as well as an eight page spread of his work. He's also been a guest on the Ed Sullivan Show and the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He created the original art for the first ...

Finding a Peter Max painting isn't as difficult as you might imagine. There are many galleries around the world that display his work and occasionally, a piece comes up for bid on some of the online auction sites. However, the best place to find a Peter Max painting for an affordable price is through an online art broker. Many times, you can find original art offered for several thousand dollars under retail. Some websites will also let you make an offer on an available original art piece. While it's up to the broker as to whether they want to accept the price, you may be surprised. Many of the brokers want to move the painting to make room for others.

You can also purchase a Peter Max painting from a private seller; however, this is usually one of the most expensive ways to get your hands on one. This is because a private seller will normally sell their paintings at retail prices or higher to make a profit.

In closing, owning an original art, such as a Peter Max painting, is quite desirable for many people. It's a way to have a small piece of art history and for many, it will fulfill a lifetime dream. You can find pieces of original art through many venues, but one of the best is through an online broker. You'll find a great collection and very affordable prices.
