There are a small amount of bands/singers who seem to have a universal and ultra-popular appeal; performers who always get it right, no matter what type of song they are singing into their microphones. And these types of people create albums which will appeal to a far bigger audience; music you will see in a very great number of record collections!

It may now be almost forty years since the release of 'Tea for the Tillerman' but it has certainly not aged one little bit. 'Hounds of Love' - Kate Bush
This magical and deeply imaginative album is undoubtedly Mrs. Bush's ultimate achievement. Every song is a treat to the ears and the production really is spot on. There are so many different instruments, vocals, samples and sounds to enjoy on 'Hounds of Love'. The 1980s would never have been the same without this superb album.
Any Beatles
There's just something very special about the music of The Beatles. It has appealed to both the young and the old for many long years. Just about everyone will have something from the Lennon/McCartney stable; although 'Abbey Road', 'Revolver' and ‘The White Album' are all commonly-owned favourites.
'Dark Side of the Moon' - Pink Floyd
Undoubtedly one of the most amazing albums ever to have been recorded and it was totally groundbreaking at the time of its release! The Floyd's sound is still just as distinctive today and their incredibly original songs are loved by music fans the world over. Of course, not everyone will have 'Dark Side of the Moon' in their record collection. they may well have ‘Wish you were Here' instead!
