What is your personality type? Can you deal with the public? Can you deal with tourists, the locals, and a never ending rotation of staff? Tourists are notorious for leaving their common sense at home and their trips are fraught with unreasonable expectations. Can you smile and move on?

What are your financial expectations? Do you just want to make a comfortable living that allows you a relaxing lifestyle in a beautiful? Or want to make a killing? You can have both, but it takes hard work!

How hard do you want to work? Everyone dreams of buying a beach bar and kicking back and drinking margaritas while the sun sets. Don't assume because you are in paradise you are entitled to enjoy it every day. Owning a business in paradise is hard work, just like anywhere else, only the collateral rewards are greater.
