Medigap insurance is the Medicare Supplemental Insurance Plan which bridges the gap of the coverage plan provided by original Medicare insurance plan. There are 12 different plans available against Medigap policy plan, marketed by different Medicare Supplement Insurance Companies. However, all the plans are not available in all states. The coverage factors under different Medigap insurance plans are quite dissimilar; out of these plans plan F is one of the most comprehensive health plans available. However, modified plan F has been made improvised since May 31, 2010.

This plan is immensely popular not only for its excellent coverage but also for its availability in most of the US states.
