There are many more but what I would say is that you should ask to see the back end of the site, in other words the bit that you will be using to update the site before you go ahead. Many company get a site have the CMS but find it too confusing to use so end up still having countless cost to the web developer to make these changes every month or so.

Really you need to do as much research as you can before you even think about having a website constructed. You need to really think what you want your site to do today and what you want it to do in the future.
