To come up with these films, certain lubricants like the surface based ones are added. These are also known as the slip additives. These are basically the commonly used ones like the oleamide, erucamide, stearamide and more. These are basically taken into consideration when the set up is that of an industrial one. The ratios at which these additives are added are meant to be checked in before blending them in, as the procedure seems a little critical. The slip additives as such are more like weight based. Like for instance, if two films are being brought in together and both are of different gauges then certainly the film becomes thicker but there is an overcrowding of the slip additives that form multi layers on the surface. This might lead to negative implication on the whole procedure where in enough energy would be invested in vaporising the additives and in turn it leaves the layer inappropriate for printing or even coating for that matter.

Hence the additives used in the polypropylene film should be considered well in advance before going in for either printing or laminating. Now-a-days printing on such polypropylene films has become more like a trend and many are opting for such a call. Gone are those days when people stuck to the traditional means of printing. Thanks to the technology, there is usage of different materials being made and experimented with. Many who wish to go in with the best means of marketing, they use the polypropylene film and it seems like it has been helping them. As mentioned earlier, there are many manufacturers in the market who deal with such products. However before making the final call, one should be sure of one's decision of picking the right product available on board.
