A mild chest pain can mean nothing and just leave you feeling annoyed and wishing it would disappear but it can also be very serious or even critical. In more serious cases, a persistent chest pain can mean lung diseases or lung cancer.

Lung disease is a disease when one or maybe even both of your lungs have a difficulty functioning.

Normally if there is an obstruction in the airflow which causes the airways to be blocked this is asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis are likely to occur. Diet -

Make wise choices; emphasize more on variety of fresh fruits and vegetables as these will provide you all the possible vitamins and minerals. Quit smoking -

Quitting smoking even if you have been smoking for years because it helps to reduce the risk of lung cancer. Cigarette smoke is loaded with carcinogens which causes changes in the lung tissue.

Repeated exposure can damage the cells which line the lungs causing them to act abnormally which eventually may develop to cancer. Certain strategies and non-smoking aids like nicotine replacement products, support system and medications can help. Get an idea and talk to your consultant to regarding this.

Secondhand smoke -

Encourage your partner or the person with you live or work to quit smoking. If your efforts go in vain then at least ask him to smoke outside; seek out for more smoke free options.

Avoid carcinogens -

If your work involves exposure to toxic carcinogens and chemicals then take appropriate precautions to protect yourself from them, for example wear a face mask if needed.

Green Tea-

In a research review published in 2009, scientists found "limited to moderate evidence" that the consumption of green tea may reduce risk of lung cancer. Rich in antioxidants, green tea is thought to help prevent lung cancer by fighting off free radicals (chemical byproducts known to damage DNA).

Exercise -

Any form of exercise like cycling, walking, or climbing stares will help to boost your immune system and make you feel better. Continue active and concerned in your life and keep away from stress as far as possible. Take an active role in your treatment and build a strong support system of friends and family, it helps.
