If you attempt to burn fat, even though you are doing everything by the book, sometimes you feel the need to speed up the process and to see the results faster. It can become frustrating to do everything right, but to only see the results in time, so you wonder how to burn more fat in less time. If you have an important event coming up or you are just tired of waiting and waiting for fat to slowly vanish, you would do anything to see it going away in less time.

You know by heart the fat loss principles and rules, you know all that you are allowed to eat and you carefully count all your calories. You also workout with determination but you would like to burn excess fat in less time and you have no idea what more you could do than what you have done so far. You have probably found out by now that eating less, close to starvation limit, won't help you burn excess fat in less time because it will put your body in "starvation mode". Taking this into consideration, it means that there is nothing more you can do in what concerns your diet. It has to be something related with your workout routine that can be changed in order ...
... to burn excess fat in less time.

A good method of losing excess fat in less time would be to start practicing interval training. This means that you will alternate low-effort workouts with more intense ones. If you are running on the treadmill for instance, you can run at a moderate speed for a minute and then to suddenly increase the speed for 15 or more seconds. It works the same for all the other cardio exercises. The point of this type of training is to increase your metabolic rate, the rate at which your body burns fat. If you exercise steadily, at some point your body will become accustomed with the intensity level and will burn less fat, but if you constantly change intensity, you will keep the body on guard and you will burn excess fat in less time.

Resistance training can also be adapted for increasing metabolic rate. You can take two exercises like push-ups and squats and practice them without any break between the sets. Only rest afterwards. Interval training is indeed requiring hard work and effort from your side, but no body said that losing excess fat in less time is going to be easy. However, the effort will soon pay of because the results are indeed rewarding.
