Did you know that New York City was the capital of the United States until 1790? This fact also explains why this city is one of the most valued and respected cities in the country. Many people mistake the State of New York with New York City. Most people think that these two places are one and the same, which is a common misconception.

New York City is famous because it is often used as a setting in movies. Being an important icon of American finance and trade and being home to a diverse blend of people, the city has established a reputation uniquely its own, making it the setting of choice for many movies and stories.
