Some people may mistake destin as a shorter term for the word destiny with the last letter omitted by mistake. However, for those who love to travel, the word ‘'destin rings a bell, not because destin can also be thought of as a shorter term for the word destination, but because Destin is indeed a destination. Destin, a city in Florida, is one of the most beautiful places in the state.

A city of ceaseless growth and undying wonder, Destin is located amid a peninsula separating the Gulf of Mexico from Choctawhatchee Bay. Science says that thousands of years ago, it was once a separate island. Because of hurricanes and changes in sea levels, it eventually became part of mainland USA. Hence, what was once a separate heaven of beauty became a peninsula at the tip end of the American territory.

Florida has the largest shoreline in the entire USA, and Destin is bordered by the Emerald coast where fishing stations, beaches and resorts can be seen.
