Growth and development can never be stopped in the city of Destin, dubbed as the world's luckiest fishing village, where people can attest that, indeed, heaven is a place on earth.

Located amid a peninsula separating the Gulf of Mexico from Choctawhatchee Bay, Destin has flourished as a tourist destination and a center of biological and heritage preservation - both for its local residents and foreign visitors. From being a small fishing village, Destin has become one of the most popular areas in the country where over 4 million tourists visit each year.

Many people are drawn to the city because of the sands of Destin beaches that are known to be one of the whitest in the world. In addition, various events and festivals are held to showcase the city's artistry, such as the Destin Fishing Rodeo and the Destin Seafood Festival which are held every October.

Every year, more and more people visit Florida. Statistics show that the city's population increases to more or less three times its original count, from 12,000 to 40,000, during the tourist season. There are 12 beach access points to the city, which attract ...
... tourists from different places.

Consequently, alongside Florida's overwhelming tourism is its uninterrupted industrialization and commercialization. From the construction of the state's first condominium in the 1970's, development continues as new buildings and commercial properties are constructed. Many portions of the land have become available for commercial lease (Florida). Various developments are being made in the different regions of the city, such as construction of hotels, condos, villas and private resorts where nonresidents of the city stay during vacation season. Most, if not all, have a common denominator: the beauty of the Emerald coast, which embraces the shorelines of the beaches of Destin.

Because of this continuous land development, a number of commercial property for lease (Florida and the City of Destin) is being opened up to businessmen. With the evident advancement of the state and the city's economy and industry, people are being encouraged to do business in the city.

Tourists get to access information about Florida and Destin, FL hotels via travel guides and tour advertisements through travel agencies, the city council and common travel websites. Information about the city of Destin has always been in demand for foreign tourists.
