Keyword Density And Search Engine Ranking

If you want a simple solution to improve a site's ranking at the search engine listings, you would have to work upon your web page's keyword density.
A keyword is a word that users use to search for certain info on the search engines. A keyword density is the ratio of the word being searched against the total words that appear on a web page. If a keyword occurs once in one page with a thousand words, then it would have a lower keyword density than if the keyword appears four times in the same page.
A high keyword density on a web page offers the possibility of the page to rank higher in a search engine. Though not all search engines bother with the density of keywords used in a site, this article would tell you enough points that would increase your site's ranking in the search engines taking the keyword density in mind.
When you plan your web page, think what search terms your users would use to search for information that your site provides. If a person is searching for a web designing service, it would be ‘website design service', ‘wed design services' or ‘web designing service', rather ...
... than web design firm or web designing agency.
When you have got the list of keywords that you would want to target, don't dump them anywhere you want in your site. You need to plan out which set of keywords should be targeted in which page. If the keyword is put in a senseless sequence, it won't help much from the users as well as from the search engine's point of view. You may even get your site penalized for stuffing the keywords too much.
Then, try to form sentences using those keywords. But try to be creative and don't repeat the same words or meanings again and again. Make the content unique and fresh. Try to repeat the keywords that you are targeting but make sure it is in flow with the sentence structure.
One important note, do not repeat it more often that the search engine or the viewers will start to find it annoying.
When you increase the keyword density, your page rank will take a big leap upwards. This is one method that every SEO expert uses every now and then. If you are not that confident about using this method on your own, then hire a search engine optimization marketing service. This is a part of their SEO marketing services and they will provide a better result.
